OpenRTB
Definition
An open, machine-readable protocol for ad auctions; publishers send bid requests and buyers respond with bids in milliseconds.
What it standardizes
OpenRTB defines the request/response format for programmatic auctions: what the slot is, what formats are allowed, and how the winning creative is returned.
Because it is standardized, the same inventory can be bought through existing SSPs and DSPs without bespoke integrations.
How wavebird uses it
wavebird maps the delivery signal from your app into an OpenRTB 2.6 bid request and runs the auction during model inference. See How wavebird works.
