OpenRTB
Definition
An open, machine-readable protocol for ad auctions; publishers send bid requests and buyers respond with bids in milliseconds.
What it standardizes
OpenRTB defines the request/response format for programmatic auctions: what the slot is, what formats are allowed, and how the winning creative is returned.
Because it is standardized, the same inventory can be prepared for configured SSP/DSP paths once the partner config, seller data, and evidence are in place.
How wavebird uses it
wavebird maps the delivery signal from your app into a scoped OpenRTB 2.6 request shape and can use an operator-configured pilot partner path during model inference. See How wavebird works.
